This notice describes how this website handles information. It does not replace the terms of a purchase order, supply agreement or non-disclosure agreement between SIMORCHIP and a customer; where such an agreement applies, that agreement governs.

Scope

This notice applies to this website. It does not apply to documents, samples or correspondence exchanged under a separate project or purchase agreement.

Information the website collects

The website has no user accounts, no analytics service, no advertising or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies. One item is stored in the browser: a language preference that records whether the site is displayed in English or Chinese. It stays in the browser and is not transmitted to SIMORCHIP.

The enquiry form

The enquiry form on the contact page does not submit data to a server. When the form is completed, the browser opens the visitor's own email program with the entered information placed in a message addressed to the SIMORCHIP sales address. Nothing is transmitted until the visitor sends that message. Information received in this way is used to answer the enquiry and to hold the related commercial or technical correspondence.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the images and documents it serves. As with any web server, connection data including the IP address is processed to deliver the page.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on the site. Loading a page requests those font files, which discloses the IP address to that service.
• The address in the footer links to Google Maps. The service is only reached if that link is followed; no map is embedded in the page.

Retention

Correspondence sent to SIMORCHIP is retained for as long as required to handle the enquiry and to meet the applicable commercial and record-keeping requirements.

Requests

Requests regarding information held about an enquiry may be sent to the SIMORCHIP sales address listed in the footer. Applicable rights depend on the jurisdiction in which the request is made.

Changes

Where the site adds a function that processes information differently, this notice is updated before that function is published.
