Qualification & Implementation

  • The 2.5-inch SATA III form was specified because the installed systems accept it without board-level modification, which allowed the refresh to reach the full estate rather than the most recent portion of it.
  • Supply logistics were scheduled against the installation plan rather than the order date.
  • One specification held across the estate, so every site received an identical build.

Recorded Outcomes

More than 12,000 units were shipped across 2024 and 2025. Boot performance improved threefold on legacy systems, service life was extended by five years, and installation time per terminal was reduced by approximately one third.
