This notice describes how this website handles information.

Scope

This notice applies to this website. It does not apply to purchases made from a dealer or retailer, or to warranty and after-sales service, which are handled under the terms that apply to them.

Information the website collects

The website has no user accounts, no analytics service, no advertising or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies. It does not store any information about visitors in the browser.

Product searches on the website run in the browser. The search terms are not sent to SIMORCHIP.

The contact form

The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a phone number, a country or region, a product category and a description of the request. Submitting it sends this information, together with the address of the page it was sent from, over an encrypted connection, and it is delivered to SIMORCHIP as an email.

If the delivery service is not available, the browser instead opens the visitor’s own email program with the information placed in a message addressed to SIMORCHIP. In that case, nothing is transmitted until the visitor sends the message.

Information received in either way is used to respond to the request and to handle any follow-up correspondence about it.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts the website, including the function that receives the contact form. As with any web server, connection data including the IP address is processed to deliver the page.
• Resend delivers messages submitted through the contact form to SIMORCHIP as email. The entered information passes through that service to be delivered.
• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on the site. Loading a page requests those font files, which discloses the IP address to that service.
• The footer links to SIMORCHIP’s pages on YouTube and LinkedIn. Those services are only reached if a link is followed; nothing from them is embedded in the page.

Retention

Messages sent to SIMORCHIP are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and to meet the applicable record-keeping requirements.

Requests

Requests about information held in connection with a message may be sent to the SIMORCHIP email address listed in the footer. Applicable rights depend on the jurisdiction in which the request is made.

Changes

Where the website adds a function that processes information differently, this notice is updated before that function is published.
